2for1 Volume 2 albums

Yes, finally volume 2 for the 2for1 albums is here! 1 tutorial, 2 albums, one in portrait style and one in landscape style.

From the very beginning the intention for the 2for1 Albums was to have three volumes that can be mixed and matched to your liking. It took me some time but volume 2 is a fact!

For the portrait style album I’ve used a beautiful paper collection from My minds eye called Gingham Foundry 2021. It was love at first sight with this collection and it didn’t disappoint!

The beautiful floral papers and the combination of navy blue and mustard yellow is stunning. It was perfect for the design of this album that requires more patterned paper than my albums, or actually my style of matting, usually does. The cohesiveness in the papers made the matting/decorating process really easy and quick.

The design of these albums are made so you have a lot of space to place loose photo’s that you can take out of the album. Also I used the photos to keep flaps in place.

Of course I had to add a little touch of acetate to the pockets. The larger embellishments from the collection where great to use in the shallow pocket to keep the side flap closed.

The Landscape version I decorated with “Remember the Magic” by Paper Phenomenon, an older collection that is no longer available as a physical collection but can be bought in a digital version on the website of paper phenomenon. Also there are a lot of “magical” collection out there from several other brands. Like the say cheese line from Simple Stories.

In this album I went for a more bold decorating style, this because the paper is made for it and to show how different the albums can be.

I played with the acetate windows on the pockets and there was a lot of fussy cutting involved. I totally love this style of decorating even though it is very time consuming.

I can be scared to work with bright colors and intend to stay away from them. In this album I went for it and was not so sure about my decision. But the end result amazed me and now its my favorite layout!

I had so much fun with these albums and I hope that you will enjoy the design! If you are interested in the tutorial, you can find it in my Etsy shop.

On my YT channel you can find the project share video for both the Portrait and the Landscape album.
