Baby first Year Explosion Box.

With the new digital “Beautiful Baby Girl” collection by Nitwit collections I’ve created this explosion box to document the first year.

To create the boxes I’ve used the Explosion board score board from We R Memory keepers and made the 3 largest boxes. Although you can make this without this scoreboard, for that I have a document with the dimensions on the end of the page.

The punch board comes with the heart shaped templates to give the corners of the box a nice shape. The easy thing of the board is that you only have to think about cutting your papers to the right size and then score on the coordinating score lines.

This new collection by Nitwit is absolutely gorgeous! If you often make baby projects you definitely want to add this to your collection. You can find it here.

In the 3 layered box I’ve created 12 pockets that can hold a photo and a journal card. These journal cards come in the collection and are not only beautiful and well coordinated with the papers but also perfect for documenting the important milestones of the month.

On the outside of the second box I’ve created a tuck spot for the “hello world” journal card. On this card you can document the important information of the baby’s birth.

The beautiful roses in the collection make for the perfect decoration. I’ve combined them with some white sewing thread and flat backed pearls to add that little extra touch.

This box can only hold smaller photos but I adore small photos. The mini albums can be intimidating to get filled up and that is where this project is different!

If you want to make your own box you can download the pdf file via the download button, it contains all the dimensions you need for the boxes and pockets etc. Unfortunately I don’t have a video tutorial for the project. There are some written instructions in the file. With some basic knowledge of boxes and pockets you should be able to make the box.
