Slim folio

I’ve used the new (digital) release from Nitwit collections called “Geraniums” to create this fun folio.

This collection has a vintage feel to it, although it also looks really fresh due to the vibrant colors this collection has to offer.

This is a folio, as I work from the back cover, but it looks like an album with actual pages. On the front cover I’ve created a pocket to hold photos or other memorabilia. I started with a nice acetate frame on the first page. This is a feature that you see me create often, simply because I enjoy it so much and I love how I can play with it and create a wow factor.

On the back of the first page I’ve made a belly band out of the patterned paper, for this I’ve used a pré-designed belly band that you can find in the collection. This belly band can hold a full size photo, I decided to place 2 3×4″ photos.

In the folio you will find a combination of different pockets and flaps for photos in different orientations. In total you can place about 16-20 photos in the folio depending on your choice of photo sizes.

Another really fun element in this collection are the “buttons” the detail in the digital design really makes it look like a dimensional button and can add that extra bit of interest to your page layout.

On most designated photo areas I went for a full size photo, however I feel that the use of different size photos creates interest in the album, therefor I like to use 4×4″ and 3×4″ photos as well.

On the last page I made a tuck space with the beautiful floral stationary paper from the collection, this way I don’t have to cover the floral with the photo and the beautiful paper stands out.

On the back cover I used the acetate once more to have that element come back. Using the beautiful designed butterfly’s from the collection I added my final details.

I think this folio might be a design that you want to use over and over again. It is a great size to keep your memories from a special day/moment. Or makes for a great gift, not only for its size and the fact that it comes together quick, but also because you could use full size photos only so no cropping necessary.
