I’ve created a mini album using the beautiful collection “Welcome baby girl” by echopark paper. This collection is so adorable!
On the cover I wanted to use the chipboard frames from the collection. I used two different seizes and have them sink in to each other. Also I really wanted to use the geographic heart shaped die by We R Memorykeepers. I cut the heart out three times and stacked them for dimension. Then I’ve used scrap pieces from the collection the back the die cut.
On the inside covers I’ve made angled pockets, a feature that I have been using more often lately. On the front pocket I made an acetate frame. I love how that creates interest. At the end I decided to glue the short (open) edge of the front pocket to the back pocket to close it. This way the elements in the pockets stay in place.
The album has four pages, two different designs that alternate. I kept the pages pretty basic and added acetate for interest. I’ve created designated areas for photos. All these areas are for full seize photos (6×4″ / 10x15cm) In this way it is easier for gifting. In the pockets I did place smaller photo mats. I really like it if there are different seize photos in an album, again it creates interest. The recipient was fine with different seizes as well.
The collection comes with different options for milestone cards / tags. I decided to use the tags, I backed them with white cardstock for journaling options.
On the pages I used chipboard elements for embellishments, to reduce the bulk I pealed away the chipboard layers. In this way I still have the structure from the chipboard pieces without the bulk.
The rainbow and striped paper is my favorite design paper from this collection, I used as much as I could from the two 12×12″ sheets that I had from this. Also I took every opportunity to place a rainbow embellishment, I guess I’m a bit obsessed with rainbows at the moment…
