Halloween Folio

After picking up the Halloween market paper collection by Carta Bella at my local craft store I decided to make a small folio. You can not go wrong with this paper collection! It uses 3 base colors (orange, black and of white) that you can easily combine, most papers will look great combined together. For this folio I’ve used 1 paper pack 12″ x 12″.

For the base of the Folio I’ve used cardstock combined with krafttex on the spines. You can replace the krafttex for a heavyweight cardstock (100 – 110 lb.) Although the krafttex will stand the test of time a bit better.

The folio has a trifold base and measures 7″ x 5″. The largest spine is 1-5/8″. There are places where you can fit a 6″x 4″ photo but mostly it will accommodate smaller photo’s ( 4″x 4″ and 3″x 4″). I love to use smaller photo’s and this folio is perfect for it. It can hold between 40 – 45 photo’s.

The folio contains out of two main sections and a third small section for only a couple of photos. I tried to showcase the decorative papers, in order to do so I’ve created small belly bands or tuck spaces out of the decorative paper. By doing this you create a photo opportunity without covering up the paper.

As for closures I’ve used swing tabs made from stickers that come with the paper collection and some wooden embellishments that I’ve found at the dollar store. In other places I’ve used magnets as a closure.

This folio was really fun to create and came together rather quick. You can download the cutting guide via the download button.
